Is anyone interested in joining an 8-player FFA? Looks like a good group of players so far, but anyone of any skill level is welcome.

Unfortunately, one of our players hasn't been responsive to messages here, and the player that joined in-game has a different ID and also hasn't been responsive for several days. So, I am looking for a replacement. There will be a one-day turn timer, since with a large 8-player FFA, this game will probably take months to complete even then.

I've also heard that there is a bug in which the first player's turn might instantly elapse when the game starts, so if that's an issue I will screenshot it and remake the game. If this happens, I will make the game without the timer and activate it after taking my first turn.

It seems everyones "losses" are multiplied by 2. I checked a few guys and it seems to be the case for all. Doesn't affect Gab though (0*2 is still 0

)

I can imagine start a 2vs2 with 2 less experienced players and one of equal level as me, should be a better experience for a new player and they can maybe learn a thing or two by being in a team with a more experienced player.

Another 8-player FFA, specifically for newer players. Hiliadan suggested doing a "no top 20" game, so that's what this is. You can check the rankings page, but basically, if you consistently make it past the first round or two in the tournaments, you are probably too good for this game.

I have opened up an 8-player FFA game.

Anybody wishing to join another game, or new players wishing to get started with PBEM or Battlefield, are most welcome to join.

Basically uses the tournament settings for map generation, except that it's a large map size. Uses the balance mod. No allied victory.

Yes of course, the balance mod does not count as a mod for me, it's just a natural extension of the game.

So yes, definitely all games should be played with the mod.

Hiliadan - you said that you wanted some more games opened, but that they should be normal games for the sake of newer players, right?

Can I assume that normal (i.e. without mods) still means using the PBEM balance mod? I'd be willing to host a large (maybe 6 or 8 player) FFA game using the balance mod. I'm not really interested in playing games without the balance mod at this point, and I think more practice with the mod benefits everybody. Also, more testing of the mod never hurts.

Long time without game opening!
I was thinking about sending PMs to players registered here but who never played any game to try to make them active again, but if no game is opened, it won't work! So, anyone to open 4, 6 or 8 players game? (and I mean normal games, because I know there has been several mod games or auto-battle games opened recently)

A new poll has been opened to bet who will win the tournament: Which teams do you think will be in the top 3 of the PBEM 2vs2 tournament?
We need reserve teams for the tournament as the chances that 1 or 2 teams drop out are very high. So if you're interested to play 2vs2 PBEM, please say so! mauvebutterfly and Dagoth were interested for example so you could team up with them.
