Hi to all fans of AoW3. We started this discussion to see how many players are interested in this format of tournaments. You are a veteran or a beginner on AoW3? It doesn't matter, you are welcome to join this discussion pool.  After joining this discussion pool, please define your skill level - are you a veteran or a beginner, - to simplify future unite in teams. If you are not registered yet on this site or don't want to register in the near future, you still have a chance to participate in this tourney. Please contact this players via Steam: skuns687lirik539; via GOG: Skuns249Lirik176, - to say about your interest in participating on this tournament. It will be a small tournament with only 4 teams, where each team consists of 3 players: 1 Veteran + 2 Beginners. And there will be 2 phases: group phase - 2 matches between random opponent teams, final phase - semifinal for 3-rd place and final for 1-st and 2-nd places. Hi. I see you enjoyed watching me roll a dice over and over again  <smiletext1>  And maybe you was confused by that situation, if so then sorry  

I must confirm Marcus' words - there will be only 2 (!) games in the whole tournament. And now we are playing the first one. We, of course, could roll dice so much times as we wish,   and would start so many games against other teams as we just can by technical reasons.   
But the main idea of such format of the tourney is to play each match with strong combos for each team. And, at the same time, with so unexpected/unpredictable combos for your opponent's team as it just possible   So 2 matches is only the try to do the compete more equally and fair for all participants :whiteman<smiletext19>

Hi all,

I think there might be some confusion around the format.
Each team have an initial match, that decides the following: 
-> Winning team in those matches move into a final
-> Losing team move into a game for third place
-> End of tournament <smiletext0>

In summary: Each team play a minimum and maximum of two matches, no less and no more.

I would prefer to start the second match simultaneously but I need some days to finish a match. All ten game slots are blocked atm.

@Zyto well I strongly expect one of your 10 games to end soon so then you would have a free slot
@Badok I'm sorry I can't follow you, of course we don't know what the final will be, thats what the group stage is for. But there are 2 games in the group stage iirc and the 2nd round of group games could already be started. So taking your example it could be team A vs C and B vs D or A vs D and B vs C. I guess to decide which of the 2 possible match ups is next skuns would roll a dice again, but this is something he could already do or am I misunderstanding the whole procedure?

I thought so too at the beginning, but it simply isn't the case. Currently we have two matches - to simplify, team A vs B and C vs D. After the group phase is done, there is a final phase and who plays whom depends on the outcome of the group phase.

As of now, we don't know if the finals will be A vs C and B vs D or A vs D and B vs C.

Start 2nd group game already?
Hei all,
the games are proceeding rather slow (as expected) but since we are in the group phase and the result of game 1 has no implications on who to play in game 2 why don't we start the 2nd group game already? Or is everyone beside me at their 10 games max. slots? As far as I understand the order of group games really isn't important and when we play both group games simultaneously we will proceed much faster overall.

No, there is no deadline and I'm personally not to rush. But I thought that other players can't wait to start. <smiletext0>  I don't want to push on people - I'm for the natural progress of things/events

Anyway there is a bug in the main branch of the balance mod with the hero's upgrade points after this mod was upgraded. So we need wait the moment when it will be fixed

So far only one team have sent the race/class of the team, but I think most teams have stated they are not ready yet, so that's understandable!

If there is no deadline for a start, maybe you want to push it a bit, and set a deadline!

Hi longinus, team matching (who vs who) is just done, so you have to wait until the game is opened and then join. Nothing to do for now, your or your enemy team will contact you when the game is set up.
